Below are images of work I made while on my residency at Gushul studios in Blairemore, Alberta, Canada part of the University of Lethbridge program. I was lucky enough to of been part of this in 2016 researching into making artwork from found materials in response to my new surroundings. This opportunity gave me the chance to explore culture, living between two very communities, the Blackfoot people (native) and Canadians. My work made is in response to the border that I stayed between I spent time reading maps walking the same paths the Blackfoot people made and looking into how the land has since been divided between people. This project was made from objects and items I collected along the way as well as some basic materials provided by the residency itself.
